Conservation Garden Park

This park is free to the public and offers amazing resources and education for landscaping and water conservation. Photography sessions here cost $10 and need to be scheduled in advance.

The main features that attracted me to this location is the dense amount of beautiful plants. There are also interactive and fun elements to engage kids while you are in between shots.

Due to weather conditions being very windy and cold I did not even check out the whole park. These pictures are just a portion of the park.

Willow Pond Park

This location's main features include:

-Large Pond

-Dock that is clean and enclosed

-Some mountain background shots

-Wild plants growing around the curvy lake

-Semi solid colored trees blended in the distance

there are some houses mixed into those trees but I believe I could photoshop them out.

Oquirrh Lake

I have driven past this grassy area and lake many times while traveling west on 11400th.  There is not a designated parking place since it's surrounded by subdivisions.

I parking at the cross roads of Cool Canyon Lane and Oquirrh Lake Road. That corner of the lake provided many great angles and features.

The main features I liked about shooting at Oquirrh Lake include:

-Rocky shoreline

-Grassy backgrounds with different levels

-Mountain and Bridge background

Other nice features to consider:

-Lots of wildlife. While I'm not sure if they are there during the golden hour, there were over one hundred ducks or geese at this location at 11am. 

-The dock would be a nice option if one can tolerate copious amounts of bird poop.

-There were also two or so big bridges in the distance that while I did not check out up close, looked like they had beautiful texture as I drove by.
